We can all thank the Saudi car culture for cars like this lifted and insanely cool 1991 Mercedes Benz 300SE.

People over there have been lifting all sort of vehicles to satisfy their needs for years, creating many of the craziest and coolest off-roaders of the planet.

This W126 model is a Japanese import showing 175,503 km (109,000 miles) on the odometer, with the photos showing clearly a well-maintained car for its years. What really strikes us is the whole clean and largely stock appearance of the car, despite the huge tires and the suspension lift.

Unfortunately, we don’t have detailed info on what changes have been done on the suspension or the history of the vehicle, but we do know that these yellow rally lights look immensely good on it. Plus, the low-spec of the cabin -with its blue velour upholstery instead of the usual leather- somehow adds to its charm.

Powered by a straight-six M103 3.0-litre engine which makes 188 HP, this W126 is not going to blow your mind with its straight-line performance. Think of it instead as the ultimate desert cruiser, the most relaxing place for you to cover some distance across the smooth desert and you will be right there with us, trying to control our ridiculous urge to have this in our garage.

The car is located in Sharjah, the UAE, and the seller asks for it 45,000 AED (about $12,000 in today’s exchange rate).
