If you were looking for one of the fastest hatchbacks on the planet, you might want to take a look at MTM’s latest treatment for the Audi RS3.

The German tuning house is now offering a software upgrade for the Audi RS3, bringing the total horsepower figure to 435PS (429hp), up from 367PS (362hp) produced by the company’s five-cylinder turbocharged 2.5-litre unit.

Torque now stands at 605Nm delivered between 1,925-5,750rpm, allowing the MTM Audi RS3 to sprint to 100kmh (62mph) from a standstill in 3.9 seconds. 0-200km/h (124mph) takes just 14.1 seconds.

MTM says that if your tires can handle the speed, their tuned RS3 will break the barrier of 300km/h (that’s 186mph), allowing you to scare supercar owners on Autobahns and other unrestricted motorways on the planet.

Other upgrades include a set of 380mm disc brakes with Brembo eight-piston calipers and lightweight 19in wheels. The company is currently working on even faster derivatives of the RS3, saying that a 500hp package is already undergoing shakedown trials.

“The 5-cylinder Audi motor is an excellent basis on which to add more power,” according to MTM CEO Roland Mayer. “We are developing versions with further power and torque gains.”

As for the price, a new, fully prepped Audi RS3 by MTM complete with 435hp and a top speed of over 186mph will cost you around €75,000 (around $80k at current exchange rates) in Germany.
