A Lamborghini Aventador sliding between sand dunes is not for the weak of heart.

Usually, owners of exotic supercars tend to pamper them, keeping these highly prized rides in climate controlled garages for most of their lives, which is why we find second-hand examples on sale with only a few hundred or a couple thousand miles on the odometer.

Then again, combine wealth with the need for adrenaline, place it all somewhere in the Middle East, and you’ve got a recipe for ‘success’.

The following video shows a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster being driven off the road, drifting between sand dunes – and that’s definitely not something we get to see every day. The 650 PS 700PS (690hp) mid-engined and all-wheel drive supercar is put hard to the test and this is one of those situations which Filippo Perini didn’t think about when he designed it.

Hopefully, next time these ‘adrenaline junkies’ decide to film a similar stunt, it will be with a Mercedes-AMG G63 6×6, because we can’t imagine removing sand from the interior and the engine bay of an Aventador being fun…
