After Acura put a price tag on its upcoming 2017 NSX, some of you may be contemplating about taking out a second mortgage to buy the hybrid supercar, while others, what else they can get for $160k.

There’s nothing we can do if you belong to the first group, but if you’re curious to see what alternatives are out there – seriously or just for fun and a conversation topic, we can lay down your options.

But before we do, let’s take a brief look at what Acura is offering and for how much. The second generation of the NSX is a very different beast from its predecessor, but that’s to be expected from two models separated by more than two decades of advancements in the automotive field.

Acura’s reimagined NSX packs a hand-built, twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 placed behind the passenger compartment aided by two electric motors for the front wheels, and a third electric motor positioned between the gasoline mill and the nine-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Headline figures for the North American-specification model include a combined output of 573 horsepower, 476 lb-ft (645Nm) of maximum torque, a 3,803-pound curb weight (1,725kg), a 0-60 mph (96km/h) sprint in just over 3 seconds and a top speed of 191mph (307km/h).

In the US, it goes on sale next spring (pre-orders start in February), priced from $156,000 for the entry-level version, all the way up to $205,700 with all option boxes ticked.

At that price point, you’re pretty much spoiled for choice, so what would you get?
