Supercars from the ’90s remain in the hearts of many thanks to their hot designs and more simple technologies, in a decade that brought us exotics such as the iconic McLaren F1, and not only.

However, this story is not about the British-made supercar, but about an Italian model, born in Maranello; the predecessor of the 360, the 355.

The mid-engined and rear-wheel drive exotic was offered in three body styles, Coupe, Targa and Spider, powered by a 3.5-liter V8 with 5 valves per cylinder, that provides 380PS (375hp) and 363Nm (268lb-ft) of torque to the wheels through a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed electrohydraulic manual transmission.

Besides allowing the F355 to reach 100km/h (62mph) from a standstill in 4.7sec and a top speed of 295km/h (183mph), the V8 sounds menacing. This drop-top is believed to carry a Capristo exhaust system and it will remind you of old Formula 1 cars.

The video was shot on Dunsfold Aerodrome, or the Top Gear test track as enthusiasts know it, a place which has seen a lot of hot vehicles over the years, with Jezza, Captain Slow or The Hamster behind the wheel.
