With the winter holidays just around the corner, Lego might be the best thing to turn a child into a future petrol head.

Most of us who have played with Lego cannot help ourselves from touching a box filled with the small bricks when we are out shopping, but since times have changed, so have the models, and nothing really beats a classic supercar.

This is the Ferrari F40 and unlike the real deal, which was produced for 5 years, between 1987 and 1992, it took just over a minute to be put together, in a time-lapse video, which will probably make you search for your kid’s Lego collection to play with.

The set includes 1,158 Lego elements, as we learned earlier this year when the scale model was shown, and it costs $89,99, not exactly cheap, but definitely the cheapest way to build your own F40.

In case you forgot, the supercar was built to celebrate Ferrari’s 40th anniversary and it has a 3.0-liter V8 rear-mounted engine, rated at 478PS (471hp) and 577Nm (426lb-ft) of torque, that propels it to 100km/h (62mph) in 4.1sec and up to a top speed that would make modern many exotics jealous: 324km/h (201mph).
