The Ferrari F50 was the closest thing to a road-going F1 car Maranello has ever produced and since it came in just 349 examples, spotting one in the wild is close to impossible.

The impressive supercar was created to celebrate Ferrari’s 50th anniversary and it came out back in 1995, at the Geneva Motor Show. It uses “sophisticated composite materials, F1-style construction technology and aerodynamics“, as the automaker states, and we won’t even start talking about its design, because it’s simply gorgeous.

The Ferrari F50 carries a 4.7-liter V12 longitudinal mid-mounted engine, capable of producing a whopping 520PS (513hp) and 471Nm (347lb-ft) of torque, which allows it to sprint from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in just 3.9 seconds and all the way up to a top speed of 325km/h (202mph).

Now, 20 years after seeing it for the first time, the exotic machine looks just as hot. Car spotters go crazy whenever they see one and this example makes no exception. It was captured on video in London and it’s shown starting up its engine and accelerating on the streets.
