GTA is an extremely popular video game and a source of inspiration for some of the weirdest videos out there.

The latest one was released by Kia for its local market, and it stars the 2016 Sportage. It carries the “GTA” initials, but it refers to “Generation Today’s Action” and, even if there are common things with the Grand Theft Auto game, what the automaker tried to do here was highlight the efficiency of two engines, the 1.7-liter U CRDi diesel with a 7-speed dual-clutch, and the R 2.0L turbodiesel.

The footage is available below, but before checking it out, we will remind you that in the North American market, the new generation of the crossover comes with a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated unit, rated at 181hp (184PS) and 175lb-ft (237Nm) of torque, and with a 2.0-liter four-pot turbo producing 241hp (244PS) and 260lb-ft (353Nm).

In Europe, the new Sportage brings two petrol units, the 132hp (133PS) 1.6-liter and a 175hp (177PS) 1.6-liter turbo, joined by three diesel burners, the 1.7-liter CRDi with 113hp (115PS) and the 2.0-liter “R” producing 134hp (136PS) and 181hp (184PS).

Besides featuring new engines, the new Kia Sportage is also larger, it has a bold design and extra goodies in the cabin. The crossover takes aim at rivals such as the Honda CR-V, the Ford Escape or the Nissan Rogue, in North America, but the automaker hasn’t released any pricing details on it so far.
