Nissan announced pricing in the US for the 2016MY Pathfinder SUV, which is now on sale with a starting price of $29,780.

Nissan says the Pathfinder offers “exceptional levels of versatility” all of the variants being powered by the same fuel-efficient 260-horspower V6, mated to an advanced Xtronic transmission with D-Step shift logic. But, for base price – which has suffered a minor, $270 hike compared to the 2015 model – the Pathfinder is available in two wheel-drive only.

But the price isn’t the only thing revised for the Pathfinder, as the model comes with some enhancements for 2016, including a revised Almond interior with contrasting black and beige materials, new cold package with heated cloth front seats, heated steering wheel and heated outside rearview mirrors (available for the Pathfinder SV grade), while the SL and Platinum variants add standard heated steering wheel.

As a matter of fact, the 2016 Pathfinder is offered with five option packages, such as the new SV Cold Weather Package, along with the SL Tech Package, SL Premium Package, Family Entertainment Package and Trailer Tow Package.

The latter, makes the Pathfinder capable of towing 5,000 pounds (2268 kg), while the Family Entertainment Package, for instance, offers dual headrest 7.0-inch DVD Family Entertainment System. Don’t worry, the other variants can be commissioned with Nissan’s wide array of optional extras, including a 13-speaker Bose Premium Audio system, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Nissan Navigation system and an 8.0-inch touch-screen monitor, mounted in the middle of the instrument panel.
