It may have left the production line 8 years ago, after being assembled in just over 1,200 units, but the Porsche Carrera GT still remains a hot supercar.

It’s considered to be the predecessor of the 918 Spyder, but unlike the newer model, which has a hybrid powertrain, it uses a stunning V10 under its hood, capable of developing a little over 600hp.

The Carrera GT is not just about “show and tell” because it needs less than 4 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill and it can go up to a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).

Remember that driving the Carrera GT is not that easy because it has a tricky carbon fiber race clutch and it lacks an Electronic Stability Program (ESP).

Besides the impressive performance, the German supercar sounds incredible in high revs and short accelerating bursts and, in case you forgot about it, this video comes as a reminder that the 2000s brought us exotics such as the Porsche Carrera GT, the Ferrari Enzo and the Mercedes SLR McLaren, among others.
