Restricted to just 375 units worldwide and already regarded as one of the very best supercars produced, it seems inevitable that the McLaren P1 will become highly collectible in the future and continue to rise in value.

With this in mind, one may expect the lucky few who ordered one from the factory to keep them for years before even considering selling them at a profit. As it turns out, dozens of P1s have already passed through the used car market, well above retail value, and now another is up for sale in Connecticut courtesy of Miller Motorcars on James Edition.

This P1 is a 2014 model year and has actually had two different owners since being delivered in the U.S. With 4,050 miles on the clock, it has barely been broken in and to ensure the Graphite Grey paint remains as pristine as possible, plastic protection covers many of the most essential exterior areas. Light silver wheels and silver brake calipers finish off the outside.

Inside, it is an orgy of black leather, alcantara and exposed carbon fiber and to give the cabin some colour, there is red contrast stitching.

No price has been made public but don’t be surprised if it sells for well over $2 million.
