Soon after the 2016 Civic Sedan earned the North American Car of the Year award and a IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating, the Japanese manufacturer released four videos demonstrating the benefits of their advanced Honda Sensing tech.

Honda Sensing is currently available on every trim level of the 2016 Civic Sedan, and it includes systems such as Collision Mitigation Braking with Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Road Departure Mitigation with Lane Departure Warning, as well as Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow.

Aside from all the active safety technologies, the Civic also impressed during crash tests, securing a ‘Superior’ rating for frontal crash prevention when equipped with the previously mentioned Collision Mitigation Braking System, or CMBS.

Civic Sedan customers can enjoy knowing that their car is watching out for them, regardless of which trim level they go for, be it LX, EX, EX-T or EX-L – all can be equipped with Honda Sensing as an option, though if you go for the top spec Touring trim, you’ll get all the safety gizmos as standard.

As for the videos, they not only demonstrate how the active safety systems work, but also what you need to do in order to make sure everything is activated, as well as letting you know precisely how the each system will alert you of potentially hazardous situations.
