After months of waiting, Kia has finally released the first specifications about the all-new Cadenza (K7) in South Korea.

Sold around the world as the Cadenza, and under the K7 moniker in its home market, Kia’s all-new luxury sedan is designed to make an impact in the market with its sophisticated design, and luxurious interior and all the latest comfort and safety tech.

The entry-level K7 will be sold to Korean customers with an all-new 2.4-liter four-cylinder delivering 187 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. Topping out the range of petrol models is a turbocharged 3.3-liter six-cylinder with 286 hp and 253 lb-ft while a 2.2-liter turbodiesel is also available with 199 hp and an impressive 325 lb-ft on offer.

Measuring 195.6 inches long, 73.6 inches wide and 57.8 inches wide, the K7’s weight varies between 1,565 kg and 1,670 kg depending on specification.

In the cabin, the 2016 K7 comes outfitted with a head-up display, Krell sound system, three different leather upholstery options and wooden trim.

Other key points oare the Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning System, High Beam Assist and Advanced Smart Cruise Control systems.

We expect details and images of the US-spec model to surface soon, probably before its premiere at the Geneva Auto Show.
