Audi has just released a teaser announcing the imminent launch of the latest Q-badged model.

Unlike almost all teaser images, this one doesn’t actually show the new car. Instead, the picture depicts the Q7, Q5 and Q3 SUVs parked alongside each other in a garage and sitting next to the Q3 is an empty and reserved parking spot.

With this in mind, it seems apparent that the German carmaker is hinting at the imminent reveal of its new entry-level SUV/crossover, named either the Audi Q1 or the Q2.

Given the firm’s recent acquisition of the Q2 trademark from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, that seems the most likely name and would correspond with statements from R&D chief Ulrich Hackenberg in September 2015.

Names aside, the new model is expected to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on March 1 and will be underpinned by a shortened version of the MQB chassis. It’ll be available with a number of three- and four- cylinder petrol engines as well as a range of four-cylinder diesels.
