If there was ever any doubt that Ferrari does not plan to introduce an SUV to rival the upcoming Lamborghini Urus, Sergio Marchionne made it crystal clear.

You have to shoot me first“, said the FCA chief and chairman at the Maranello company when asked about a possible Ferrari SUV to meet the company’s volume goals, according to Bloomberg.

This isn’t the first time that Sergio Marchionne dismisses an SUV for Ferrari, as at the 2014 Paris Auto Show, in a press conference, he ruled out such a model and any four-door vehicles stating that the company’s plan is “to make two-door sports cars not SUVs or four-door cars“.

Sales of exotic cars that wear the prancing horse logo reached 7,664 units in 2015, but for this year, the automaker predicts it will ship about 3 percent more, at 7,900 examples. In 2019, Ferrari could eventually boost output beyond its target of 9,000 units.

Contributing to its sales for 2016 are the F12 Berlinetta, FF, 488 GTB, 488 Spider and California T, while the previous special limited model, the F12tdf, was sold in just over a month since it was officially introduced.
