In a remarkable role reversal, footage has surfaced online showing a Florida woman pulling over a police officer for speeding.
Claudia Castillo said that she decided to pull over the officer on Friday after he sped past her on a road with a 40 mph speed limit. Concerned, she took it upon herself to try and catch up to the police cruiser, eventually hitting 80 mph before backing off after seeing the officer pulling away.
She managed to flag down the officer who pulled over believing Castillo may have had an emergency to report, but she turned the tables on him, saying “I pushed 80 to try and catch up with you, and I was still eating your dust…I just wanted to know, what’s the emergency?”.
In the video, the unidentified officer can be seen saying that he was on his way to work and didn’t believe that he was speeding. He then apologizes and says that he’ll “be sure to slow down then”.
The local Miami Dade Police Department released a statement confirming that an investigation into the incident and the officer’s actions had been launched.
