Apart from past glories such as the Delta Integrale, this sub-compact is the only thing that reminds us of Lancia’s existence.

The Ypsilon might have recently been subjected to a facelift, but it’s still lagging behind the competition.

Though it may seem not much has changed for the after being subjected to a little digital enhancement, you can still notice the Chrysler Pacifica-like front end, especially the headlights and grille especially, while the front spoiler features a more dynamic design. Kind of a Frankencar, this one, and perhaps it’s best we don’t see it in the metal – though, with FCA, one can never be sure.

The 2016 MY Ypsilon that was unveiled last year in Frankfurt comes with the Uconnect infotainment system, two new exterior colors and a more streamlined look.

Frequently imposed subtle updates are the norm ever since the chic hatch was launched in 2011. Unfortunately, they were not good enough to help it score anything but a dissapointing two-star rating during Euro NCAP testing in December.
