How do you ensure your LaFerrari stands out from the other 498 examples being produced? You have it painted purple of course!

That’s exactly what the owner of the following LaFerrari did who just so happens to be the crown prince of Johor, a region in Malaysia. First spied testing near the Italian’s marque’s factory last year, there really is no mistaking this LaFerrari for any other.

While dozens of Porsche 918 and McLaren P1 customers had their vehicle’s painted in all manner of bright colors, it seems far fewer LaFerrari owners are opting for distinct paint finishes, potentially to protect the vehicle’s resale value. If you’re a crown prince however, resale values are irrelevant.

Beyond the purple paint, the hypercar has a set of satin black five-spoke wheels, a gloss black roof and red brake calipers.

We’re not entirely sold on the purple and red combination and think a set of silver, black or purple calipers may have worked better. But hell, who are we to judge, we’re only writing about the car, not driving it!
