Hongqi’s S Concept debuted at Beijing as a proposal for a luxurious mid-sized crossover next to the B Concept.

Based on an Audi Q5, the well-proportioned shape of the S Concept avoids the over-the-top design exercises rather cleverly. The front end is of course dominated by lots of bling, thanks to the hexagonal grille and these LED headlights which are clearly designed to look like jewels.

The cabin is strictly configured as a four-seater, focusing on the comfort of the rear passengers, providing everything from foldable tables to digital screens and the ability to fold the front passenger’s seat for even more legroom, just like Volvo did with the XC90 Lounge Console concept.

The dashboard is festooned with digital displays that project everything you need and then some more, keeping the design language clean, simple and dare we say elegant.

Overall the Hongqi S Concept looks a nice premium crossover that has a great chance of entering production. Would you be interested?
