Low-mileage used cars into their second decade are always an interesting find, but the asking price in this situation makes this one even more interesting, to say the least.

Here we have two extremely low-mileage Mercedes S-Classes sold as a pair, with the black 1992 600SEL having 1,499 miles (2,412km) on the clock and the 1994 400SE just 275 miles (443km). The seller claims that both cars run and drive virtually as new and that they were always stored in a climate controlled garage.

The provided photos do reveal the stunning, factory-fresh condition of both cars, but frankly, the $300k asking price is borderline ridiculous, despite the fact that the W140s are known for their over-engineered nature and quality.

A few weeks ago, someone was asking $200,000 for an E30 M3 with 6,000 miles on it, which is also an absurd amount of money, but we acknowledge that the collector’s appeal can sometimes drive prices on stratospheric levels.

The W140 is perhaps one of the most luxurious classic Benzes you can get on the used market and these two examples look just amazing in the photos. The low mileage status, though, combined with the sheer mechanical complexity of this model should definitely worry the person willing to pay for them.

Not that paying $300k for a pair of ‘90s luxury saloons that don’t even have a collector’s status makes any kind of sense, but this is a crazy world after all. Find the listing over here.
