Two robbery suspects made their way through Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon, as their wild getaway ended with their apprehension and plenty of scratched heads.

The chase lasted about two hours, in which the suspects almost looked like they were out to have fun in the convertible Mustang – and on a rainy day no less!

At one point, the Mustang was even pinned by a TMZ tour bus which apparently was “innocently changing lanes and ended up cutting off the suspects,” the LA Times r reports.

Not even spikes helped slow them down as the chase kept going until the car was driving on its right-front rim and probably couldn’t go any further. Though what was really strange was the crowd that gathered around the suspects as they pulled over in South LA, giving them high-fives and taking selfies on their phones.

“It was a nonviolent property crime…In terms of priority, you need to weigh all the circumstances. The two suspects didn’t appear to be trying to hide anywhere, almost sitting and waiting. You could see them take property out of their pockets and hand it to people like they knew they were going to be arrested. It was sort of surreal to watch,” said LAPD Capt. Andy Neiman.
