Making huge power while retaining a low profile is a recipe everyone likes, but this Golf just takes it to a whole other level.

Whether you believe it or not, this normal-looking Golf actually produces 740hp channeled to all four wheels through a seven-speed double-clutch gearbox. It’s just breathtaking.

HPA managed to reach this ridiculous amount of horsepower by fitting under the bonnet VW’s 3.6-litre V6 engine from a Passat R36, which in turn gained two hybrid turbochargers. The seven-speed DSG transmission is out of an Audi TT RS, and which has been updated to cope with the 740hp and 650lb ft of the engine.

But the best thing about it is that it works like a normal car that came out from the factory, as Matt Farah finds out in the latest episode of Tuned. This is one of the most undercover and properly sorted 740hp daily driver you might find.

Hunting for GT-Rs after a stressful day in the office? Well, you found your car.
