Limited to only 150 units worldwide, Aston’s recently launched Vantage GT8 is the ultimate iteration of the V8-powered, hand-build sports car. And now you can configure one for your liking.

But you should be fast about it if you’re looking to get a GTE-inspired gentleman’s racer, because limited-edition automobiles don’t usually stay on the shelves too long (who’s to say all 150 units aren’t sold out already).

The GT8 is to the V8 Vantage what the GT12 was to the V12-powered variant, so for £165,000, you’ll get an evolution of the standard model’s 8-cylinder engine, boasting 446 HP to the rear wheels, and a choice between a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic gearbox. And that’s before adding the optional Aero Pack which offers the large rear wing and additional corner elements to the front splitter, for example.

The color scheme can be altered as well when ordering the car, as customers can choose between combinations of China Grey and Blue, Stratus White and Green or Stirling Green and Lime; but if you don’t fancy the default hue combinations, you can always create a customized one.

The wheels are new and feature a 5-spoke design as standard, while the ultra-lightweight seven-spoke magnesium rims remain available as an option – both models get to wear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

Don’t think about it as a hard-boiled track-car for the road, as Aston Martin kept the standard vehicle’s creature comforts, including the 160W audio system, the air conditioning, and the latest AMi III infotainment system.

But enough chit-chat, go and build yourself a virtual dream car on Aston’s official configurator.
