Heads of states may be used to rolling in luxurious and sometimes armored limousines or full-sized SUVs, but David Cameron’s wife, Samantha, will be driving a used Nissan Micra.

According to The Guardian, the UK Prime Minister recently paid a visit to Witney Used Car Center in Oxfordshire, accompanied by his security team, to buy the Japanese supermini, for which he paid the window price, meaning £1,495 ($2,167) in this case.

I didn’t give him a discount, he paid the screen price, got the log book, went to the post office to pay the tax and off he went. And then I thought, I’ve just sold a car to the prime minister“, said car dealership boss, Iain Harris. “I think his security team thought it was odd I was just treating him like a normal customer. But it’s not like he was buying a £20,000 ($29,000) car, then it might have been different.

The Nissan Micra has 92,000 miles (148,060 km) on the clock and sports a blue color, which made Cameron joke about it, saying that he is lucky it was not red, but this is where the political chat ended: “I wouldn’t have asked him about politics. You wouldn’t want to start a political argument with a customer asking them about their political beliefs and they say: ‘Hold on, I’d rather not buy the car from you’“, Harris added.
