When you’re out riding on two wheels and you can’t see anything beyond the upcoming corner, slowing down before it’s too late is kind of a self-explanatory.

After watching the clip a few times, we can safely say that the rider got lucky, even though he ended up out-braking himself and running straight into that station wagon.

The entire scene was captured by another rider who also ended up on his rear, but only because he couldn’t steer his own bike away from the wreck.

You don’t have to be Valentino Rossi to tell that what happened here can be entirely attributed to human error. Also, not only was that motorcycle carrying to much speed in the corner, it was also poorly positioned – almost as if the rider had a momentary lapse in judgement regarding where he was and what he was supposed to be doing.

Of course, there’s no way of knowing what was going though his head, so we’ll just say we’re glad he got to walk away from what could have been a much more severe accident.
