While the real Ford GT has already grabbed pole position in the GTE Pro class at the Le Mans 24 Hours, a Lego-made version are on display at Circuit de la Sarthe.

One-third the size of the all-new racer, the Lego model took a lot of patience to have its 40,000 bricks put together, over the course of three weeks, but once ready, it mirrors the full-sized racer in detail.

Back to Ford’s full-size racer, two GTs will compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship by Ford Chip Ganassi Racing team, driven by Stefan Mucke, Olivier Pla and Billy Johnson, and by Andi Priaulx, Harry Tincknell and Marino Franchitti, respectively.

Another two will take part the IMSA Weather Tech Sports Car Championship and between the four, more than 200,000 spectators will get to see them in action. The WEC cars will retain the 66 and 67 race numbers, while the IMSA ones will become 68 and 69, celebrating the manufacturer’s victories in 1966, 1967, 1968 and 1969.
