A low-mileage classic Mini in immaculate condition heads to the auction block, giving you the chance to own one of the most iconic British cars ever.

Over the years, some were raced in numerous rallies, others were tuned, but very few of them remained with caring owners who made sure that they didn’t miss an oil change.

Produced in 1964, this example was put together with the UK home market in mind and was delivered to Coventry on November 5 of the same year. 15 years later, a previous owner discovered it during a business trip to a farm in Kent and bought it on the spot. He then repaired it and repainted it back in its original color combo of Tweed Grey and Old English White, after being found finished in Red and White.

The car remains in standard specification and, despite being almost 52 years old, it still retains its original interior, bar the steering wheel. The wheels were recently refurbished with some more work carried out to the braking system and chrome trims. The vendor reassures potential buyers that the car is “in excellent mechanical condition and drives superbly”, and comes with a full service inspection, a new battery and a fresh MoT.

This sweet classic Mini also comes with a long history file, a Heritage Certificate and older MoTs that confirm the really low mileage (20,034 miles/32,242 km). Scheduled to go under the hammer on July 30 by Silverstone Auctions it’s also expected to change hands for an estimated £17,000-£20,000 ($22,600-$26,600) so bring some money if you’re really interested.
