With the track-oriented GT R, Mercedes-AMG has a real rival to the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Nissan GT R all while promising to deliver its performance in true AMG style. But will the GT R ever hit the racetrack in the upper echelons of the sport?

Well to give us an idea of how it may look, Evren Milano has dropped the following renderings of a proposed GT R LM and the final result certainly raised our eyebrows.

The car has been rendered around the Zenvo TSR that was unveiled at March’s Geneva Motor Show and consequently combines the rear-end of the Danish hypercar with the bold front-end of the GT R in an intriguing mix of smooth and flowing lines with sharp and aggressive intakes and aerodynamic elements.

At the front, an outlandish splitter has been fitted just below the redesigned air intakes of the GT R. Additionally, the vertical grille slats of the GT R have been replaced with similar horizontal chrome elements to the lesser AMG GT and GT S. Also included in the outlandish renderings is the bold hood of the Zenvo complemented with some additional air vents towards the attractive windscreen.
