While it may seem counter-intuitive at first, getting accustomed to driving a sports car on a race track and doing all sorts of high-level maneuvers as a beginner can end up helping you out tremendously in real-world traffic.

Back in November, Porsche surprised a few driving students by giving them the chance to take their driving test in a 911 Carrera. Now, they’ve gathered more rookie drivers (with no license) at their Experience Center in Le Mans not just to help them hone their skills, but to also celebrate the Center’s first anniversary.

Unlike the last time, these soon to be drivers haven’t even gotten the basics down, as far as what they need to do in order to get the car moving forward. They soon go from that, to skid pad tests, cornering tests and off-road tests in the Macan and the Cayenne.

During performance tests, they even get to experience one of the ultimate Porsche track-weapons, the GT3 RS. Unfortunately, the automaker didn’t share as much footage with this one as we might have liked, but we still get plenty of fun/clumsy action to giggle about.

As far as we can tell, the most often used car here was the regular 911; which, in our books, is a fitting choice for Le Mans.
