The Karma Revero is set to arrive on European shores in late 2018, says the firm’s chief revenue officer.

While speaking with Autocar recently, Jim Taylor said that the model will celebrate its U.S. launch next month but that it will take over 12 months for the business to expand enough for international sales of the Revero to be considered.

Although the Revero looks identical to the Fisker Karma, it is promising a host of upgrades over its predecessor. Most significantly, its roof supports newly-developed solar panels said to be twice as good as those from the original model.

In a production car first, the energy created by these solar panels will recharge the Revero’s batteries, rather than simply powering in-car accessories, as in the Nissan Leaf for example.

Further details about the car will be announced on September 8.
