Rounding off the range of open-top four-seaters with its classic fabric roof, the all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet has just rolled off the assembly line.
Put together at the company’s plant in Bremen, Germany that with the introduction of the GLC Coupe last month got to producing no less than 10 models, the first ever C-Class convertible is being manufactured alongside the C-Class Coupe, previous-gen E-Class Coupe and E-Class Cabriolet.
Just like its fixed roof sibling, the drop-top features lightweight components that include the bonnet, fenders and bootlid, which have been designed and developed to keep its weight, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions down.
The roof is a fully automatic fabric soft top and, apart from the basic black one, is available as multi-layer acoustic variant in dark brown, dark blue or dark red. Its assembly is not an automatic process, but instead executed manually and the same applies to the cockpit.
Prices kick off at €42,215 ($47,153) in Germany, while in the UK, it can be had from £36,200 ($47,864).
