The Mercedes-AMG GT R is the wildest street-legal Merc in production right now. For owners of lesser variants, tuning house Piecha Design has previewed its RSR upgrade package ahead of its global debut at the start of September.

On a design front, Piecha’s RSR will see the inclusion of new aerodynamic and visual tweaks to distinguish it from the ‘regular’ GT while looking equally as aggressive as the GT R.

What this means is that the front fascia will be adorned with redesigned air intakes and a subtle splitter. Elsewhere, these preview images reveal that the car will be adorned with a set of custom side skirts while the rear will include a large fixed wing and a diffuser add-on extending beneath the bespoke quad tailpipes. The car pictured is sitting on a set of standard AMG wheels, but Piecha Design will offer customers a range of aftermarket rims to pick choose from.

Complementing the visual modifications will be a selection of performance kits. Most notably, Piecha has developed a simple ECU power module that bumps power from the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 to 612 hp and 840 Nm of torque, well above the 577 hp of the AMG GT R.
