In an age where huge box office movies are generally made by utilizing lots of CGI work, Mad Max: Fury Road managed to stray from the norm in the most delightful of ways.

Stunt work. Sometimes it’s as simple as getting good old-fashioned stuntmen to do their jobs flawlessly while the camera is rolling and the angle is just right for you to capture an extremely dynamic shot of somebody doing something amazing.

Admit it, as much fun as you may have had watching Deadpool or Batman v Superman, it was all mostly done in front of a green screen with the help of artificial brains – and to some movie-goers, that’s not as exciting as the real thing.

Fair warning now, watching this 4-minute long action-packed pretty much CGI-free reel of Fury Road may cause you to think even more highly of the George Miller-directed flick.

Ironically, the movie won an Oscar for ‘Best Achievement in Visual Effects’, which usually goes to something like an Avatar or another one of those CGI-packed movies.

Then again, it also won Motion Picture of the Year, along with 213 other awards (seriously), making it one the best (if not the best) movie of 2015.
