At the State Fair of Texas, Nissan has introduced an optional package for the 2017 Titan line-up in honor of the lone star state.

Appropriately dubbed the ‘Texas’ Titan package, it is available for both regular Titan and Titan XD Crew Cab models in 4×4 and 4×2 drive configurations and consists of a selection of special interior and exterior elements.

From the outside, the Texas package can be identified with the chrome inner and outer grille finish, metallic-finish kick plates, Texas Titan badging, chrome exhaust tips and 20-inch chrome aluminum wheels. Inside, those that equip the package receive distinctive floor mats.

Although Nissan hasn’t announced pricing details for the package, the launch of the package comes as part of the marque’s ‘Year of the Truck’ celebrations.

The run-of-the-mill Titan half-ton is offered exclusively with Nissan’s 5.6-liter V8 delivering 390 hp and 394 lb-ft of torque. The Titan XD Crew Cab variant meanwhile is available with this engine as well as the Cummins 5.0-liter V8 turbo-diesel, rated at 310 hp and 555 lb-ft of torque. All diesel models come outfitted with a 6-speed automatic transmission whereas the petrol V8 models send power through a 7-speed ‘box.
