Want to get your hands on the new Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante? Be prepared to shell out big bucks, because according to Automobile magazine, each of the 99 examples to be made will command a massive price of $850,000.
The latest result of a lengthy love affair between Aston Martin and Zagato, the coachbuilt special was revealed a month and a half ago. It’s based on the Vanquish drop-top, but with unique bodywork crafted by the artisans at the Milanese design house.
Production is reportedly slated to kick off a year from now, but before it can, Aston will fill its order books. Deposits are reportedly now being accepted to the tune of $150,000, which would by itself be more than enough to put a well-equipped Vantage in your driveway, but here serves as just the starting point.
The full price of $850k represents a nearly threefold premium over the “standard” Vanquish Volante. Customers are said to have until October 10 – just a few days from now – to get their deposits in, and you can bet that Aston will have little trouble selling each and every one of them.
