Child protection services in Australia are investigating a father who shared a video of his five-year-old son doing a burnout in his Holden Commodore.

The video, which has been viewed more than 4.5 million times on Alex Dobson’s Facebook page, attracted the attention of the Queensland Police department after it went viral.

News reports that the vehicle has been seized ahead of further investigations and that police are investigating whether charges can be pressed against Dobson as the video was filmed on private property.

While speaking with the Today show, Dobson defended his parenting saying that “He’s not your average five-year-old. He can start a car, move a car around, an auto one obviously…but he’s got great control of the accelerator and brake pedal.”

In a separate interview, Dobson said that he was starting to regret posting the video because of the attention it has attracted.
