Chip Foose has confirmed that his ambitious 1935-inspired Cadillac Madam X project will be revealed at SEMA 2016 on November 1.

Details about the project first emerged in early August and will see the car customizer bring back to life a car that was originally sketched and commissioned back in the early 1930s.

To closely mimic the vehicle’s original design, Foose’s creation will be built from a 1939 Cadillac Four Door 60 Special but in line with the sketch, has been totally re-bodied as a two-door coupe making it shorter and lower than ever before. While much of the design of Madam X will remain true to the original, Foose will add some of his own unique styling touches.

It will therefore include new chrome trim, a bespoke leather interior, special paint, painted blonde wood dash and distinctive billet aluminum wheels.

Beneath the body, Madam X will use an LT1 V8 Corvette engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission and front and rear suspension borrowed from a C6 Corvette.

Discussing the car, Foose said: “I can’t wait to finally pull the wraps off the Madam X Cadillac. With its mix of old-school class and cutting-edge technology, the Madam X is becoming one of my all-time favorite builds.”
