As an official sponsor of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team, Epson are certainly within their rights to call upon Lewis Hamilton in an attempt to promote their EcoTank printer.

It seems that the idea behind this commercial was to basically splash Lewis Hamilton with lots of ink while he’s “battling” the Epson printer inside Mercedes’ state of the art F1 wind tunnel.

On top of that, Mercedes even suggests that if we are to do one thing today, it should be to watch this clip – which normally would be indicative of seeing Hamilton doing something amazing behind the wheel of a car, however this spot is more about satisfying a different type of visual appetite, one where colors reign supreme.

By the way, if you’re struggling to remember where exactly on Mercedes’ F1 cars it says ‘Epson’, it’s on the side of the rear wing in a pretty large white font – which generally indicates that you’re looking at one of the main sponsors of a team.

As for Hamilton’s “performance”, we wouldn’t blame you if liked seeing him more in that Beasts of the Green Hell teaser video from a few months back when he was looking for the Mercedes-AMG GT R.
