The problem with always having the latest technology in your car is that you never know what could go wrong and when, especially with something as gimmicky as the Tesla Model X’s self-closing/opening doors.

While watching this video, we learned that the owner of the Model X actually came across this door latch issue as soon as he took delivery, only for it now to happen again after he put about 10,000 miles (16,000 km) on the clock.

Basically, while the door can still be shut, the mechanism doesn’t fully engage anymore and the door doesn’t get pulled back in all the way – which makes for a not so pleasant look on a car like the Model X.

Furthermore, the door made a horribly annoying sound when the owner forced it open in order to demonstrate the issue. It’s definitely the sort of “glitch” you need fixed ASAP. Also, according to him, people that have experienced similar issues with their Model X doors have had newly-designed latches installed on their cars, which is exactly what happens here as well.

What’s great about this whole thing is that Tesla fixed the car the very next day and delivered it to the owner with the door latch system working as it should. The title of the video says it all in the end, doesn’t it?
