The same fast acting witness that leaked the Jeep Grand Wagoneer at the same Fiat Chrysler meeting also took a picture of the next-gen Jeep Wrangler.

We know, for quite some time now, that the current Wrangler’s days are numbered, as Jeep is gearing up to unveil its successor sometimes next year. There has been a lot of speculations about its looks, body style, and technology, but the new images unsurprisingly depict a familiar face.

Jeep will keep the Wrangler’s iconic, rugged design, and defining characteristics intact (upgrading a few details) while changing everything under the skin. So, don’t expect a visual revolution, as the Wrangler will retain its utilitarian boxy appearance, as well as its solid axles (front and rear), and body on frame construction.

Judging by the images, the vehicle will probably feature front and rear LED lights, as well as DRLs on the front fenders. Other changes include a bigger and slightly curved windshield, which may indicate the lack of a folding front window.

Under the hood, the future Wrangler will supposedly adopt more efficient engines, as well as a fuel-saving eight-speed automatic transmission, but we’ll have to wait until next year to find out more. That’s if, other images with the Jeep won’t surface on the internet.
