Professional driver Ryan Tuerck is continuing his ambitious Ferrari engine-swap for his Toyota 86 drift car and in this first video of it running, it proves to be just as insane as we all expected.

Even though the engine bay of the 86 typically houses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, Tuerck and his crew have somehow managed to shoehorn the naturally-aspirated 4.5-liter V8 of the 458 Italia into the compact Japanese sports car.

Typically that engine sits in the middle of the 458 so understandably, it has taken quite some time to modify it for the 86.

Custom headers and a bespoke exhaust system have been fitted for example and now, the exhausts exit from either side of the front bumper, making the car a flame-spitting monster which is sure to tear up the skid pan when the build is complete.
