With the 2016 US Grand Prix only a few days away, we can’t help but notice just how different of a season it has been thus far compared to last year.

During last season’s race at the Circuit of the Americas, Lewis Hamilton came in with a massive 66-point lead in the Driver’s Championship and eventually clinched the title for himself with a win in a race where only twelve cars managed to reach the finish line.

This year we’re hoping to have better weather conditions, though if it does rain (10% chance of precipitation), Hamilton could yet again have an advantage thanks to his experience in the wet.

Again, this video, as with all official Formula 1 Circuit Guide clips, is narrated by David Coulthard, who also points out just how good Hamilton under slippery conditions.

Of course, since odds are the track will be dry as a bone come Sunday, Hamilton will need to resort to good old fashioned grit and grind in order to secure pole position and first place in the race so that he can further close in on Nico Rosberg.

Currently, Rosberg holds a 33 point lead over his teammate, which is considerable though not insurmountable with four races still to go.
