If a carefully crafted bespoke interior doesn’t come to mind when you think of the Skoda Fabia, you haven’t seen Carlex’s take on the matter.

Somebody commissioned Carlex to rethink the Czech supermini’s interior, and the result is amazing. Usually, cars like the Fabia don’t get a bespoke treatment form their owners, mainly because they’re used as mundane, cheap and cheerful means of transportation, but such an improvement makes a lot of sense, especially for someone that spends a lot of time behind the wheel.

The out-of-the-box Skoda Fabia doesn’t deliver a premium interior. Its cabin was thought to be as durable and as ergonomic as possible, without any posh nonsense; even in the higher trim levels, all you get is a leather steering wheel.

Carlex, on the other hand, upholstered almost every element in fine, two-tone leather, beginning with the shift knob and ending with the steering wheel trim. The craftsmanship is admirable, especially as the aftermarket specialist used red stitching to highlight every small detail on the interior. What’s more, Carlex even created a bespoke carrier bag to go with the Fabia’s new cabin.

Now, according to Carlex, the car “will have to deal with being exceptional till the rest of its life”.
