General Motors has launched the new 2017 Holden Barina Down Under, bringing the vehicle known elsewhere as the Chevy Sonic to the Australian market with its own unique styling.

With a face inspired by the Camaro, the new Barina was designed in Australia for the local market. It brings with it a slew of new features, including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as a rear-view camera with Rear Park Assist.

Holden is offering the 2017 Barina in two trim levels, dubbed LS and LT. Both are powered by a 1.6-liter inline-four and feature LED daytime running lights, with LT offering 17-inch alloys, enhanced interior trim and push-button ignition with passive entry.

The Barina has been awarded a 5-star ANCAP safety rating and is now reaching Holden dealers across Australia.
