The latest Ford Focus RS may not have been on the market for very long but already, a host of tuners are offering upgrades for the potent hot hatch.

Among them is Mountune who recently got their hands on the Focus RS owned by The Smoking Tire’s Matt Farah. Although the model’s 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine is quite potent left stock with 350 hp on tap, Mountune’s upgrades make it that little more exciting.

The modifications consists of a new intake, intercooler, short shift kit, a new exhaust and an ECU remap. Peak power increases by 26 hp and 91 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Of more importance however are the mid-range gains.

Farah says that at 3,000 rpm, torque is 100 lb-ft higher than stock and that at 4,000 rpm, the Mountune-upgraded Focus RS delivers a remarkable 80 hp more than standard. Consequently, it is one punchy little beast, surely fast enough to make Mercedes-AMG A45 owners a little nervous.

So how do these upgrades alter the driving experience? Watch the video after the jump to find out.
