Based on the fourth generation model that launched in the UK earlier this year, the new Renault Megane Sport Tourer is available for order, with deliveries set to commence in December.

The most versatile member of the new Megane family comes in six trim levels – Expression+, Dinamique, Dinamique S, Signature, GT Line and GT, with the most basic variant carrying a starting price of £18,550 ($23,230) on-the road.

For the money, buyers will get standard LED DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, tinted windows, electric windows, Bluetooth, DAB radio, AUX input, height adjustable front seats, and safety systems such as the AEBS, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.

Opt for the Dynamique and Renault will throw in automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, Visio active safety systems with automatic high/low beams, traffic sign recognition and lane departure warning, electrically adjustable, heated and folding side mirrors, keycard, automatic dual-zone climate control, Arkamys sound system, 7-inch R-Link2 infotainment, sat-nav, and Multi-Sense, a system that offers five modes for the driving setup and interior ambiance.

Next in the lineup is the Dynamique S, with its 8.7-inch touchscreen display, extra tinted windows on the rear and tailgate, front and rear parking sensors and 17-inch alloy wheels, while the Signature adds 18-inch alloys, full LED headlights, electrochromatic rearview mirror, Nappa leather steering wheel, and black leather upholstery.

The GT Line provides a sportier appearance on the outside and inside, and comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, sports front seats, blue stitching, and chequered Renaultsport logo, while the upholstery can be had in fabric or Alcantara.

Billed as the most potent variant, the new Renault Megane Sport Tourer GT is the version to go for, as it offers four-wheel steering and launch control, inspired by the brand’s expertise in motorsport. This model is powered by a 205 PS (202 HP) engine, mated to a 7-speed EDC automatic transmission and is capable of going from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.4 seconds and up to a top speed of 145 mph (233 km/h).

For additional personalization, prospective buyers can choose the Climate Pack for Expression+, which adds dual-zone climate control and automatic headlights, or the Parking Pack on the Dynamique, with its front and rear parking sensors and rearview camera. The Parking Pack Premium is available on the Dynamique S and brings handsfree parking, blind spot warning and 360-degree parking sensors, along with the Safety Pack Premium, which adds adaptive cruise control, safe distance warning and automatic electronic braking system.

The Dynamique S can also be specified with the Leather Pack, with full leather upholstery, while the Look Packs, which adds diamond-cut 17-inch alloy wheels and extra tinted windows, can be chosen on the Expression+ and Dynamique.

A premium Bose sound system can be unlocked with the Bose Pack, on the Dynamique S models and above, while the GT versions can be had with Alcantara Packs, with their Carbon Grey Alcantara upholstery and blue stitching, or two-tone blue and Carbon Grey Alcantara. Depending on the trim level, full LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, 8.7-inch touchscreen display, panoramic sunroof and metallic paint can be found on the options list.
