To our eyes, the McLaren P1 is one of the boldest and most successful exercises in automotive design in recent years.

Now, however, we may have come across a McLaren that looks just as good, if not better, than the P1 in the form of the lesser MSO HS edition.

Limited to just 25 examples worldwide, the MSO HS is 15 times rarer than the P1 and this particular example delivered to the U.S. looks stunning.

It has been painted in Volcano Orange, the color made famous by the original P1 Concept. It has then been outfitted with a host of exposed carbon fiber parts, including the front splitter, canards, side skirts, rear wing, roof scoop, rear fascia and a black stripe running down the center of the bodywork.

All in all, a bold choice of parts for what is, arguably, one of the best cars to ever roll out of Woking.
