Whether it’s Jean-Claude van Damme performing epic splits or the 2,400 HP Iron Knight breaking speed records, the Volvo Trucks brain trust seems continuously open to promoting their products in new and extreme ways.

This here is the latest extreme stunt, this time featuring a paraglider and the Volvo FH 540 truck, whose job here was to maintain speed in order to keep the paraglider in flight while also helping the flying man ascend and descend by raising and lowering its speed at the right moments.

The stunt was executed in the Dinaric Alps in Croatia, a large mountain chain that also spans areas of Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Italy, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.

Arguably the most spectacular shot is the one where they execute a pass under a small bridge, where pro paraglider Guillaume Galvani barely scraped through – although we’re sure that all the measurements and calculations were considered way before they got him in the air.

Following the stunt, you’ll also find two other videos released by Volvo Trucks, one of which detailing the FH truck, while the other is more of a behind-the-scenes look at how driver Louise Marriott and paraglider Guillaume Galvani worked out the details among themselves.
