Those of you who are used to seeing the so-called beast of the green hell wearing nothing but green, might want to check out this Mercedes-AMG Solarbeam Yellow Metallic specimen.

On the regular Mercedes-AMG GT, this color is a £10,695 optional extra in the UK, while  costing $9,900 in the US. And yet, this is the infamous GT R version we’re looking at here, a car that just went around the Nurburgring in 7:10.92s.

Also, if you’ve missed that unbelievably quick lap, you can check it out right here. As you can see, this 585 PS (577 HP) machine is quite the performer, especially when taking into account its weight of 1,554 kg (3,428 lbs) – 90 kg (199 lbs) lighter than the AMG GT S.

Performance aside, right now we’re more curious to hear what you think about the GT R in  Solarbeam Yellow – as seen here courtesy of Magazin ProDriver CZ & Max Knust – instead of its usual Green Hell Magno.

We reckon this is the type of car that stands out either way, and since both yellow and green (especially Green Hell Magno) are pretty flashy colors, we don’t see it blending in any time soon.

Here’s some proof of that.
