Skoda Karoq Looks Good In Scout Guise

In 2018, Skoda is widely expected to unveil a Karoq Scout, taking obvious design inspiration from the larger Kodiaq Scout.

Rendered here by Indian Autos Blog, the Karoq Scout essentially looks like a mini version of the Kodiaq and will offer more rugged styling to the SUV.

Starting at the front, modifications include a new silver front bumper and skid plate, revised air intakes and a unique set of fog lights. Elsewhere, the Karoq Scout rendered includes black wheel arches and side skirts, silver wing mirror caps and a different set of wheels.

Skoda offers the Karoq with five different engines but it is unlikely all will be available in the Scout. In fact, it is possible that it will only be sold with the 1.5-liter TSI with 150 PS, the 2.0-liter TDI with 150 PS and the range-topping 2.0-liter TDI with 190 PS. This range will leave out the 1.0-liter TSI and its 115 PS, and the 1.6-liter TDI delivering 115 PS.

A debut at March’s Geneva Motor Show is possible, exactly one year after the Kodiaq Scout premiered.
